1. Birthi Falls
Located at a stretch of 35 kilometres from Munsiyari, this place has been a favourite for those travellers who love to sit and enjoy the lush green nature while enjoying their tea and lunch. These falls give a refreshing experience as water could be seen sliding down from the height of 126 metre.
Nature can be seen spreading all its vibrant colours across with hues of green coming prominently.
2. Panchachuli Peaks
These are prominent peaks in Pithoragarh which are visible from all points of the town. They are group of five snow-capped Himalayan peaks situated near Munsiyari. They have varied heights ranging between 6,334 metres to 6,904 metres. The majestic hills form the watershed between the Gori and the Darmaganga valleys. 3. Maheshwari Kund
Situated a few steps ahead from Munsiyari, this is a beautiful kund and has a very interesting story behind its formation.
This place, many years back, was cursed by a yakshi who used to stay here in a small lake. Eventually, there was a bad drought for consecutive years. Then the villagers apologized to the Yakshi for not allowing him to marry him with the sarpanch daughter and also emptying the lake as a revenge. This ritual is still practiced here and today; one finds the pond offering the rawest form of nature.
4. Kalamuni Top
This place houses a famous Kali Temple which is dedicated to Naga God. it is situated on a 15-km stretch from Munsiyari on the way from Birthi. Kalamuni Top is situated at height of 9500 feet. You can enjoy a beautiful view of Panchuchuli Peak from this place. This is very near to the other town, Almora. It is situated at a height of 2748 metre. Trek to Thumri fund starts from this point.
