1. Dinjoy Satra

Situated at Dinjoy around 5-km North of Chabua Township, this place was founded by Aniruddha Dev, one among the 12 devotees of Gopal Atadev. Initially, he founded a Satra at Bisnubalikakunshi village of North Lakhimpur.

However, after some time, he shifted it to Khutiaputa. It was at this time when rebellion period came and this satra went into troubled waters.

Then, it was shifted to Dinjan at Chabua and it was named as Dinjoy Satra.

2. Dehing Namti Satra

Situated on the banks of Disang River in Sasoni Mouza, Dehing Namti Satra is somewhere around 8 miles from the town of Naharkatiya. Its main branch is presently located at Namti in Nazira. This satra was founded by one Binandashyam Gohain who once had a follower with the name of Lachit Borphukan. Located between Sariyahtoli and Hologuri roads falling in the Dibrugarh district, this tourist destination is flocked by a lot many tourists.

3. Barbarua Maidam

There are two graveyards here which have been raised to honor Ahom Dyansty’s two officials.

The maidam (known as an ancient burial mound) is dedicated to high ranked officials. There are many maidams which have been raised to honour other officials as well.

4. Bahikhowa Maidam

The Bahikhowa Maidam is located in Khowang Tea Estate area in Dibrugarh. Dedicated to Bahikhowa Dasarath Dowerah who was the Chief of Ahoms’ Army staff, this place has been looked upon with respect. It was during the reign of Swargodeo Rajeswar Singha when Bahikhowa held senior position. And hence this maidam also earns due respect.
