Also known as Rajiv Gandhi National Park, the Nagarhole National Park in Karnataka is a renowned wildlife sanctuary in the southern Indian state of Karnataka. Formed as a wildlife sanctuary in the year 1955, the park got the status of a national park twenty years later. This protected area has been providing natural habitat to a wide variety of animal and bird species. The park is situated on the northern side of the river Kabini and near the Bandipur National Park and is easily accessible from all parts of South India.
