Munnar
is a small town located in Idukki district of Kerala. Situated at an

Eravikulam National Park - Situated 17 kms away from Munnar, the park
provides shelter to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr (kind of mountain goat known
as ibex). The park covering an area of 97 sq.km is also home to other
animals like Sambar, Barking Deer, Gaur, Giant Malabar Squirrel etc.
Tourists are not allowed to enter the park during the breeding season,
usually from Mid-February to mid-March.
